Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026 · Last updated July 7, 2026
1. Summary
Del Mar Races is a free, informational website. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not sell your personal information. This policy explains what is collected, why, and your choices. It is published by the operator of this site.
2. What we collect
We may collect usage and device data automatically — for example IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page — via standard server logs, and cookies or similar technologies as described below. We do not currently use third-party analytics. We do not require an account, and we do not knowingly collect payment or wagering information — the Service handles no bets or money.
3. How we use it
To operate, secure, and improve the Service — to serve pages, understand aggregate traffic, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function; we do not currently set analytics or advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
5. Third parties
We rely on service providers for hosting and content delivery (Vercel). They process data on our behalf under their own terms. The Service also links out to third-party sites (handicappers, publications, wagering platforms); their privacy practices are their own and are not covered by this policy.
6. Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers above, or when required by law, or to protect the Service and its users.
7. Your rights (California and other regions)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be sold or discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, contact privacy@delmarhorseraces.com.
8. Children
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security & retention
We use reasonable measures to protect data and retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Questions or privacy requests: privacy@delmarhorseraces.com.
